Viola Music Lesson

She played with Symphony and Chamber Orchestras and in chamber groups in the Ukraine and has spent a number of years working with different Cruise Ships Companies. She has got Audiophile grade in viola and exquisite ability to sight-read.

Viola Music Lesson has been a naturally development to bring her knowledge to beginners and more experts players as well. She proud herself of excellent communication skills, strong commitment, and helpful attitude.

At first glance, the viola, this bowed string instrument can easily be confused with a violin by an uninitiated listener. Indeed, apart from the size, outwardly they are similar. But one has only to listen to its timbre – the difference is immediately noticeable, surprisingly soft and slightly muffled sound resembles a contralto – soft and expressive.

When thinking of stringed instruments, the viola is usually forgotten in favour of its smaller or larger counterparts, but the rich timbre and interesting history make it worth a closer look. Viola is a philosopher’s instrument, without attracting attention, he modestly settled himself in the orchestra between the violin and cello.

Learning to play the viola is rather difficult from books or from the Internet, the majority of the “do it yourself” solutions cover only the tip of the iceberg, providing a small portion of the necessary information.

As per similar suggestion in the Violin Music Lesson page, at Allegro Music School, we suggest to adopt the educational path for the Viola Music Lesson developed by the ABRSM. ABRSM is the exam board of the Royal Schools of Music, delivering over 650,000 music exams and assessments every year in 93 countries.

It is impossible to describe in words the correct settings or movement smoothness of the bow. You would need someone who will verify your movements, and point out any inaccuracies or errors. The real added value is attending classes with a teacher who directly shows you certain techniques.
