Allegro Music School Lesson Policy

This page outlines Allegro Music School’s policy for all the music lessons we do offer either in person or online.

This policy applies either if the lessons are booked by the students or someone else on their behalf (e.g. parents, friends), and if any of our school representative (e.g. Natalya) is asked to help with the booking system by means of text messages, calls, emails, social messaging such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.

We recommend booking the lesson highlighting the full name of the student and instrument to avoid any misunderstanding.

Booking Lessons

Please note that booking a lesson is not a guarantee of reservation. Upon booking confirmation is received, students are invited to proceed with the payment as soon as possible to secure the chosen slot, and anyway no more than 24 fours before the desired lesson starting time. When the lesson is finished, students willing to continue their musical learning path should need to book further lessons. Due to high demand, we recommend to book as many lessons in advance to secure your preferred slot.

If payment is not received at least 24 hours before, Allegro Music School booking’s system will cancel your booking and free the slot to enforce the 24 hours cancellation policy (please see below).

We recommend to arrive 10-15 minutes before the lesson start time, to have time to park the car and sit comfortable in our waiting lounge. When the slot starts, the lesson starts, even if the student is not present, for example due to high traffic or weather conditions, forgetfulness or any other reason not directly attributable to any member of the Allegro Music School.

Unfortunately, we are not able to extend the slot beyond its natural length because that would affect negatively the next student lesson’s experience, therefore any partial slot would be considered lost and non-refundable not even partially.

Cancellation

The 24 hours cancellation policy is considered in place for any lesson, these are the options applied:

  • A lesson is considered eligible to be cancelled free of charge only if the cancellation communication is received up to 24 hours before the lesson.
  • If the cancellation communication is received within 24 hours, the lesson will be charged in full.

Please note, Allegro Music School can’t refund, even partially, lesson fees for any missed lesson for which we do not hold direct responsibility. We recommend to book the lesson appointment in your personal calendar and to set an alert that provides you enough room to reach Allegro Music School in time.

Rescheduling

A lesson is considered eligible to be rescheduled free of charge only if the rescheduling communication is received by Allegro Music School up to 72 hours before the lesson. This is due to Allegro Music School sustaining the cost of the IT systems related to the website, booking mechanism, and rental. If the student will communicate the intention of rescheduling the lesson:

  • up to 48 hours before the lesson, a £ 5 rescheduling fee will be applied,
  • up to 24 hours before the lesson, a £ 10 rescheduling fee will be applied,
  • within 24 hours, the lesson shall be paid in full as per the above Cancellation policy.

If Allegro Music School understands that a trend of recurring rescheduling is perpetuated, it reserves the right to request a payment for the lessons that have been booked but no paid up to the previous four weeks.

Allegro Music School will try to accommodate your request, but please note, due to high demand this cannot always be possible, therefore we recommend to communicate with us such request as soon as possible.

Payments

Due to the Cancellation and Rescheduling policies, payments are due at least 24 hours before the lesson time slot, but we do encourage students to pay the lesson as soon as they can, to secure their chosen slot. Allegro Music School accepts only BACS payment by the mean of bank transfer at this time.

Upon receipt of booking confirmation students will also receive in the same notification the bank details to transfer the amount due. As explained above, we recommend to clear any outstanding payment no more than 24 hours the chosen slot, or the booking could be cancelled. Cheque payments are not accepted.
